WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?! The rhetorical question “Where is your God now?” may be rooted in certain passages of the Old Testament (Book of Micah 7:10 or Psalms 10; 42:3; 115:2 for example) and some parables in which one’s faith is being confronted. Despite of its biblical origins its online usage has gone viral trough a series of memes in which the phrase is tagged to an image depicting an odd or extremely challenging situation. A terrifying strike that is supposed to provoke established beliefs. Beyond the curious humor common to fundamental aspects of global communication in the digital age, we can think of it as the sign of the unstable hour. When a radical perplexity crosses us in a way we can’t act but only assume and support language. Guided by the weigh of such a question, this concise association unites works that show manifestations of disturbance, trembling, dissolution and dismantling. Either trough material operations or conceptual formulations, synesthesia; weirdness; esotericism; metaphysical thoughts; and political commentaries are brought together to convulse tenets and expectations under a dense and dazed atmosphere.
